Below> Home with our wild hair and wild garden.
We spent the last 10 days at Gerringong enduring lots of rain and windy conditions. It was fine though because we caught up with some family and friends. I also left Greg in Gerringong for a few nights while I headed back to Canberra to sell my jewellery at the Undercurrent Design Market at the National Portrait Gallery. It was weird returning to Canberra briefly, catching up with the girls and my parents and sister and then ducking off again. We came home for good a week ago, and had a fabulous welcome home dinner with Tami and Robyn and Paul. I then got stuck into 5 months worth of weeds. Three days later after some help from the family and aching backs and legs, the garden looks fabulous.
I now want to get rid of stuff because you come home with new eyes. We came home with a big realisation that we can live much simpler and perhaps even make a serious move to the coast. Travelling on the road for 5 months made us realise that no one gives a dam who you are or were in time past....they take you on face value, and that was quite refreshing and re- energising.
