We took an overnight trip from Darwin to Litchfield National Park. It is an absolutely magnificent place, with waterfalls and swimming holes deep with crystal clear fresh water. I was a happy camper, sleeping under the stars with all the wildlife sounds around us. We swam at Wangi, Florence and Buleys falls and rock pools. We drove out 10 km on a 4 WD track to see The Lost City as well. These are amazing rock formations that spookily look like a city of ruins or mythical creatures cast in rock.

I have fond memories of Buleys Rockpool, we were naughty and went swimming eventhough is was 'closed' becasue there was that much water going down. Even my mother (80) came in. We couldn't swim anywhere else, the waterfalls were so mighty and the wet season had brought crocs.

Brigitte haha I love it. Go your mum. I wish I could take my dad there. I would love to see the difference of the waterfalls in Litchfield in the wet season.

Jane so great to hear from you. I hope you have managed to see heaps of USA. Yes the sound of Vegas just gives me the creeps. Kakadu updates and Kimberleys soon when I get proper internet connection and don't have to steal Greg's download.
